I shall wear the pin with pride :-) Well, this is turning out to be a rather interesting exercise. That note is definitely a bit early and the foot tap does help to identify the issue. Perhaps worse, it's also a bit faint-hearted for a note positioned at the important 'and-of-4' whose job is to kick start the next bar rhythmically and harmonically. Interestingly, when talking about jazz the swing is typically implicit hence 'and-of-4' rather than 'a-of-4-and-a'. For this sort of detailed analysis your approach of making the swing explicit seems very helpful. Video to follow soon.

Well spotted, I was in too much of a hurry! It's Cmaj7 Eb7 D-7 G7. The Eb7 also subs nicely to C-. I'll give that a go in the next week or so.
