Hi! I found this website and the taplature method after looking around a while for a course/system to follow.

My names Alex and I'm in my 20s!

A little bit about my guitar progress:

Been playing guitar for around a year, in At first I noticed quick progress but I feel kind of stuck these past few months. I have felt quite frustrated and close to giving up. I feel that I quite ok "mechanical skills", I've got my open as well barre chords (such as E, A, Em shape) down but I lack a sense of direction. I don't know what to practice and how to practice. I am competely self thaught. Taking in-person lessons unfortunately isn't an option as I am a student at university and not flush with cash, haha!

I also struggle to play lead lines and keep a steady rythm, and the worst part is that I barely have any songs under my belt. And this is in spite of quite a few hoursโ€ฆ

Hi Alex,

Apologies for slow reply ... no notification from Wix for your post so I've only just spotted it.

Sounds like you've got the bug which is 90% of the battle though may distract from your other studies! How are you finding the Taplature approach so far?

Any particular roadblocks you can define? We should be able to find a quick way round them!

Paul.

Oasis at Wembley

An incredible night at Wembley watching Oasis and the memories began with a great set from Richard Ashcroft

Out where the wild things are

As promised - opening verse. The trouble I still have with Bm throws the rhythm in the next line (and my vocal range is tested a bit too!)

Nice one Glenn! All in decent shape ... G to D change could be tightened up too I reckon (looks like more than one movement up and down to get between them). I think you're changing to the last D half a beat early ... that will tie-in with the word "are" falling (early) on the last upbeat of the bar and pulling the chord to it. A good one for a re-do in the near future but very listenable as is! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
