A little Composer's journey

Hello world!

So I am a 20 yr old guitar player of about 1 year and 3 months, who only took interest in music about 4 years ago.

Here is my wonderful telecaster! (Thank you grand dad for helping me afford this bad boy)

From the start of my journey, ive composed instead of learning to play full songs. Ive learned the basics of theory, some deeper stuff, and spent a lot of time improvising.

I am not amazing, but everyone around me (musically adept or not) seem to believe I have potential for something--but I just do it for the sheer satisfaction of progressing and creating.

Here is a video with some of my compositions and saved videos over the year. Holy do I develop! (And gain weight 😂)

On that channel I also have some old improvs and other nitnacks (like some soundtrap projects that used simple guitar melodies I had in mind and generally trying to have fun with beats)

To jump to a more present day, here are a few of my current work in progress projects (whether that means being practiced for better performances, or composing wise)

This here is an old project I still have to learn how to play right, and I need to develop a lead solo for. But its hendrix-y, and fun!

This here is a classical piece that is a little w.i.p, I am still testing out the harmonic side of mixing in the A major section after my B major section, it sounds not bad but not quite where I want it to be. Its a damn good practice piece though for barred chords and NOT hitting the wrong string...

This here is some of my new piano pieces. I decided to pick up a cheap keyboard and try myself at composing. I have only about 20 hours in, so im not technically proficient, but the melodies are nice!

And that is all for now! I have about a dozen other tracks that I could post but ill wait a while to keep this thread alive!

Hopefully you have fun listening to a newbies journey through the magical, wonderful world that is music!

@Andro Cro It's worth trying them all ... measuring your top speeds (and recording then listening back) using the different styles should answer your questions. The Jimmy Page lick you mentioned the other day sparked me off into an investigation of my own. Will be examining for a while I think: 3 fingers per string pull-offs
